I skied Camelback about a dozen times last season. They had a new waterpark under construction there but the mountain was just as it always was.

Any updates from regular skiers regarding Camelback ski conditions? This has not been a banner year for snowfall in NEPA.

When is the cardboard box race? Anyone know the dates of the Camelback end of season events?

Pond skimming is Saturday March 19th at 1:30!

Cardboard box races are on Sunday March 20th at 1:00!

This event is always a good time!

Here are a couple pictures from the end of season party. I should have taken more.

This is Santa heading for the pond:

Here's a view of the slope from the perspective of the pond skimming event. Snow was really soft that day:

Wish I could have gotten some better pics, but here is the pond that eventually sprung a leak:

Camelback is the premier skiing resort in the Poconos. I ski quite a few times locally every year. For anyone looking for tips... The secret to Camelback is simple, go on a weekday or weeknight and you will enjoy yourself more. This mountain gets very crowded on winter weekends.

Do some mid-week skiing at Camelback if you can.

I second the notion that mid-week skiing up here beats the weekends. One thing to point out though is if you buy a season pass you can cut the lift lines.
