Post skiing pictures, reviews, trail conditions, etc. Anything goes. Have you been skiing at Big Bear lately?

What is the easiest way to get to Masthope Big Bear? My GPS took me on a wild windy ride. I'd like to find a more civilized way to get there, like on a major highway or at least a straight road. Thanks!

I went up to Big Bear toward the end of the season. The winter weather was not ideal for skiing this year, but these resorts made the best of it. We had an excellent time. There was an Irish festival going on and they had a really good crowd.

As for directions to Big Bear skiing... My GPS took me on a wild ride also. This ski area is not really near a major highway, so windy roads are the only roads.

I have skied up at Big Bear a couple of times in recent years. The biggest downfall to this ski area is the location. There is just no easy way to get there.

As for the skiing, it's not the biggest mountain in the Poconos, but there is enough mountain there to keep anyone busy for a whole day. The conditions were very good when I was there. There is a good mix of slopes for various levels of skiing.

I skied Big Bear once. I remember it being a nice hidden gem. But the drive up there was squirrely. They've got quite a few runs, but you don't hear much about this place for some reason.
