Red flags contained in an scammer's email response to an ad...
- Claims that you will be paid via mail or Western Union by cashiers check.
- There's no indication in the email of the specific item you are advertising.
- No indication of your name or their name in the response email.
- No request to view the advertised item in person.
- Obvious foreign spellings such as cheque instead of check.
